This RP is being set 2-3 years after the original series/current season have ended. (You can make up your own stuff as you create your own characters. It's mainly pony based, although other species are allowed. We'll see as time goes.) It mainly takes place in Ponyville, unless a event/arc shift participants to elsewhere... New Beginnings focuses on the the daily lives aspects of its inhabitants.
